We're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Valterra Mighty Cord gooseneck and fifth wheel wiring kit. Installing the 7-pole in the bed of your truck is, to me, a very important accessory to have in your truck if you plan on towing a fifth wheel or gooseneck. I like having everything that I need to connect the gooseneck or fifth wheel in the bed of the truck. So having a 7-way in the bed of your truck is going to make it that much easier. more

Hey, everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, on our 2023 Chevy Silverado 2500, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Curt Custom Fit In-Bed Wiring Harness. Before we get into that though, let's take a minute to check this out and make sure it's gonna work for you. So you end up setting up your truck with a gooseneck or 5th wheel type trailer hitch, the last thing you wanna do whenever you're hooked up to that trailer is have to drape your wiring over your tailgate to be able to plug into your bumper plug, and so, a kit like this is going to eliminate that problem. Having it in-bed will allow you to take, you know, your 5th wheel or gooseneck's trailer wiring and plug it right in there. It's just the right way to do things, a lot more convenient, a lot cleaner, and you don't run the risk of your wiring coming disconnected. more

Pollak Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Pollak seven-way in-bed wiring for gooseneck and 5th wheels on a 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500. When attaching your 5th wheel or your gooseneck trailer you do need to plug it into your seven-way just so you get your lights as well as your brakes. But a lot of times you're having to drape that wire over the tailgate. So having this in the bed keeps it nice and protected and clean, easily able to plug in as well, and maintain all your factory functions. Now it just ties into your factory connector. So you're gonna maintain all your factory seven-way functions on your factory plug, as well as in your bed. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look at installing the CURT Custom Fit in bed wiring for goosenecks and fifth wheels on a 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500. Now our customer just added rails and a fifth wheel B&W Patriot in the back of his truck. And when hooking up to his RV, having to plug in and wrap it over the tailgate can kind of be cumbersome. So if you can have your wiring right here in bed, it makes it a lot easier to hook up and it keeps your wires nice and tucked in. So if you've ever noticed what this plug cover is on the bed of your truck, this is just a dummy plate. more

Shane: Hey guys, Shane here with etrailer.com. Today I have a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado, 2,500, and I'll walk you through how to install the Hopkins in bed, fifth wheel gooseneck wiring kit. Putting this in is going to give you not only a 7-pole plug in the bed of the truck, but it's also going to give you that 4-pole plug. So it really adds a nice feature. If you we're pulling a smaller trailer and you need that, 4-pole plug, you have one. The other nice thing about having this in the bed of the truck is when we're pulling that fifth wheel or gooseneck trailer, we're not going to have to drape our wire over the top of our tailgate, the plugging into that plug down by our bumper. more

Hey guys, Connor here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Custom Embed Fifth Wheel/ Gooseneck Wiring Harness for our 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2,500. Our Curt Wiring Harness here, is going to be an excellent option for our savvy Silverado. It's going to provide the basic trailer lighting functions, as well as the electric brake, reverse, or even auxiliary battery charged circuit for some of our larger trailers.As you can see here, the seven way is located in the bed. So, it's going to be convenient for our Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harnesses, where the siren way might not reach the bumper. As you can see here, we have this nice door, which is going to protect our pins in here from any rust or corrosion and causing any lighting issues. more

Adding an in bed wiring kit to your vehicle is going to make it a lot easier when hooking up to your gooseneck or fifth wheel. To plug your wiring in here, you're not going to have to hang it over top of your tailgate and plug it in down by your bumper. Now the nice thing about it is, not only are we going to be able to use the seven pole plug inside the bed, but we're going to be able to maintain the use of our factory plug on our bumper. Hi there, Silverado owners. Today in our 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to be installing Draw-Tite's fifth wheel or gooseneck wiring harness. This wiring harness is going to put your seven pole connector in a much more convenient location for your fifth wheel or gooseneck trailers. Often your fifth wheel or gooseneck trailer, the cable that comes with it isn't long enough to reach over the back of the bed of your truck to plug into your existing factory connector. And if it is long enough, it's usually just barely long enough. And then you've got a cable rubbing up against the outside of your tailgate, potentially scuffing up the paint. more

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we're gonna be taking a look at it and showing you how to install the curt fifth wheel or goose neck custom wiring harness with seven-pull connector.This is what it's going to look like installed. Now what's great about this seven-way is when we're using it for our goose neck or fifth wheel, we're not going to have to drape a wire over the edge of our tailgate. We can just simply plug it in right here. This is going to give us all the necessary functions to remain legal and then some. Such as our backup lights, break lights, clearance lights, turn signals and trailer breaks.The cap is spring loaded. That way when we're not using it, it'll stay closed and dry. more

Today in our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're gonna be installing Mighty Cord fifth wheel/gooseneck trailer wiring harness with seven pole connector. You can get this in a seven foot or 10 foot length. This wiring harness is gonna take your factory seven pole connector that's at the back of your vehicle and reposition it up here, while maintaining the one that's still at the back. What's nice about this is if you have a trailer you haul out of your hitch, you can use the one at the back, but when you hook up your fifth wheel, you've now got easy access to plug your fifth wheel in with the one that's located in your truck bed.The connector itself has a spring loaded lid, make sure it stays shut when not in use to keep out any moisture, ensuring a long lasting connection. On the inside when we open the lid, there's a rubber seal on here to help keep that moisture out even further and our seven pole connector. It comes with all the hardware you need to get it installed, let's show you that now.We'll begin our installation by determining where we want to put our seven way connector. more

Today on our 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we're gonna take a look at and show you how to install the Bargman 5th Wheel and Gooseneck 90 Degree Wiring Harness. Part number is 50-97-410. Now this wiring connector allows you to make the connection for your 5th wheel, or for your gooseneck trailer in the bed of your truck. Basically it's gonna eliminate the need for you to extend the cable potentially on your trailer, or to run it over the tailgate and plug it into the back. It's a nice addition, very easy to use. Here's what our 7-way connector looks like installed. This is a no splice quick install, which allows us to have a quick and easy way to access our 7-way connector when we're towing a 5th wheel or a gooseneck trailer. That way we don't have to worry about having the cable from our trailer reach over our tailgate and go to our factory connector on our bumper. In a lot of applications, a 5th wheel or a gooseneck trailer connector isn't long enough to reach down there anyway. This will solve the problem for that, and make it a one step process when you're coupling to your trailer. more

Curt 5th Wheel Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Chevrolet 2500- Video
Speaker 1: Today in our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we'll be having a look at and installing the Curt fifth wheel gooseneck custom wiring harness with seven pull connector, part number C56000.Fits nice and flush against the side of our bed of our vehicle. It doesn't take up much valuable bed space at all. We have a door, which is spring loaded, has a nice foam rubber gasket on it to help protect it, the connector, keep the elements out of it when it's not in use. It opens fairly wide, making it easy for us to insert our connector. This is an idea solution if we have a gooseneck or a fifth wheel trailer, that way we don't have to have a cable draping down over our tailgate to connect to our factory connector. Most of the time those connectors aren't even long enough on the trailer themselves to reach down to your factory connectors so you need a solution like this.We don't have to worry about climbing up into our truck bed to plug in this connector where we have it mounted. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Demco fifth wheel and gooseneck 90 degree wiring harness with seven pole plug. Part number DM8555002.Here's what our Demco wiring harness looks like once it's installed. It's going to give us a seven way connector in the bed of our truck, so that we can hook up our electrical whether we're using a gooseneck or a fifth wheel trailer hitch. Our connector's going to be made out of an ABS plastic, that's going to have a nice weather seal inside to keep our connection points from getting any corrosion on them. It's also going to have a nice spring loaded cover, which is going to keep all that moisture and debris out.Now what I really like about our wiring harness, is that we're not going to lose our seven way at the back and it's still going to be fully functional. If we do use a ball to tow anything, we'll still have our seven way connector here. more

Hopkins Endurance Fifth Wheel Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel and Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness with 7-Pole Plug, part number 41157. Here we've got everything that comes in our wiring kit. We've got our wiring harness with the T-connector to T into the existing wiring harness, a ground for the wiring harness, then the plug that goes into the back of your new 7-way that'll be in the bed. Some zip ties just for securing the wiring down, or any excess wire, some self-tapping screws with washers, and a couple small tubes of dielectric grease to ensure that you're not going to get any corrosion to cause you some problems with your connectors. This harness kit is very nice. It gives you a real clean look because all you got is this plug up here, and you're still able to use your factory 7-way that's down at your bumper near your license plate. It's also nice because having this one up here eliminates the need to possibly run an extra wire up over your tailgate in order to plug it in to your 5th wheel or gooseneck trailer. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we're going to be taking a look at and also showing you how to install the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel Gooseneck 90 Degree Wiring Harness with the 7 Pole Plug. Part number is 41157. This is going to be the important part of our wiring harness; this is going to give us our 7 pole plug. Our 7 pole plug takes care of all the lighting for our trailers. It can also send the reverse signal, it can send 12 volt power back, and also our brake controller signal back to our trailer so we have all of our functions working properly. This is designed to plug directly in to the factory wiring harness that's already at the back of our truck. more

Today, on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, we're going to be taking look at and installing the Demco 5th wheel gooseneck 90-degree wiring harness with 7-pole plug, part number DM8555002. Here's what it looks like once it's installed on a bed of the truck. As you can see, this gives us a nice, easy connection point for our 5th wheel or gooseneck wiring harness. It comes with a spring-loaded door to help make sure that this stays covered and protected and that the elements aren't able to get in there and corrode your connections. This harness is going to T into the factory 7-pole wiring harness. Then you'll run the wire up to the back of this so that you can have power here as well. This wiring harness is going to do a great job of making sure that you've got that same 7-pole wiring up here as you do on the back bumper. more

Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Draw-Tite 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring Harness with a 7-Pole Connect. The part number is 20110. As you see here, that offers a 7-pole connector just like what we've have from a factory setup. It's got a stainless steel spring here that helps to keep our door down with the little tab here that holds our 7-pole plug into position so we won't have to worry about it disconnecting. Inside, they've provided a rubber gasket here that's going to help keep this sealed when not in use so we won't have to worry about all the dirt and debris and things like that building up inside. Now as far as locations go, you can pick anywhere you want. You've got a 7-foot lead so from where our plug is on the back of the truck, we're going to have a 7-foot reach. more

Here's what it looks like once it's installed. It's made out of a high-impact ABS plastic with a stainless steel spring and rod. It's going to help against corrosion. It's got a weather-tight seal. Today in our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel Gooseneck 90 degree wiring harness with 7 puller plug, part# 41157. Here's what it looks like once it's installed. As you can see it's got an oversized hinge with a lid that opens up 180 degrees to give you full access to the inside of our trailer plug. This is a 7 way plug. It's going to give you all the normal features plus a reverse light, trailer breaking signal and a 12 volt power source. It comes with a 10 foot cord so you can place this any place this any place you'd like in that 10 feet of your vehicle. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today in this 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to show you a 5th Wheel and Gooseneck 90-degree Wiring Harness with a 7-Pole Plug, part #50-97-410 from Bargman. With this part number this is what you get. You get your 7-pole plug, and take an extra point that goes into your wiring harness behind your bumper, get a little spacer block which will go behind your 7-pole connector if you need it, in case this backside of the connector hits the outside edge of the truck or outside skin. Then you have some self tapping screws that come with the kit to help attach it. If you take a look at the lid here, it also has a legend to tell you what pin does what if you have to do some wiring diagnostics. Pretty simple to install. The hardest point really is just trying to find a place to locate it. more

Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we'll be installing the Draw-Tite 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness with 7-pole Trailer Connector, part number 20110. To begin our install we're going to start in the pickup bed. We're going to find a suitable mounting location for our 7-blade connector. Here in the side of the pickup bed on the driver's side behind the wheel well but in front of the tail light where the bed-liner is flush or flat against the sheet metal is a good location. Once we find that we'll go ahead and drill out a pilot hole. I'm going to use a 1/4" bit because it will also match the pilot bit of the hole saw that we're going to have to use to drill out our hole. Once I have my pilot hole made we'll go ahead and bring in the 2" hole saw. Now with our hole drilled out, we're going to move underneath the pickup. more

Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Crew Cab we're going to be installing the DrawTite Fith Wheel Gooseneck Wiring Harness with a 7-pole, part number 20110. In addition to the gooseneck wiring harness we're also going to be using a little bit of dielectric grease for electrical connections, part number 11755. Before we begin our installation we're going to go ahead and lower the spare tire down out of the way to give ourself a little more working room. Now that our spare tire's lowered down out of the way, we're going to go up underneath the vehicle. Now right here is the backside of the factory 7-way plug here on our bumper. We're going to need to undo this. We'll push in here on this gray locking tab, slide the locking tab out. more
